We are a team of travel experts and tourism professionals who have been creating exceptional experiences for visitors since 2005. We see travel as a way to connect all people, to bridge cultures and provide space for sharing and learning from each other. 

We believe travel can transform lives, both of the traveller and of the communities they visit. We have designed travel programs that blend history, art, adventure, and authenticity. We aim to create life-changing travel experiences that support positive transformation for visitors and local communities alike.

Khaled Elmasrey (Co Founder)

Co-Founder of the travel agency, is an Egyptian-American entrepreneur who brings a unique blend of cultural insight and international perspective. Holding both Egyptian and U.S. citizenship, his journey between the two countries has shaped the vision and values behind the company.

Raised in Egypt and later educated in the United States, where he earned a Master’s degree in Egyptology from the University of Pennsylvania, Khaled developed a deep belief that travel should go beyond sightseeing—it should create meaningful connections and lasting impressions.

Inspired by his experience across both cultures, he co-founded the agency to bridge Egypt and the United States, offering travelers a sense of trust, comfort, and authenticity. The company is dedicated to delivering thoughtfully designed journeys that combine rich history, cultural depth, and high-end service.

Together with a professional team that shares the same passion, Khaled’s vision is to provide exceptional travel experiences that allow every guest to explore Egypt with confidence, ease, and a deeper understanding.

Mahmoud Khairy (Operation Director)

As Director of Operations, with over 18 years of experience in inbound tourism, destination management, and luxury travel in Egypt, I began my career in the travel industry in 2007, gaining early experience with leading Egyptian travel agencies.

Over the years, I have developed comprehensive expertise across ground operations, corporate travel, cruise ship shore excursions, special interest groups, and large-scale events.

In my current role as Director of Operations, I lead all inbound tourism activities, overseeing strategy, performance, and partner relationships across global markets. I play an active role in driving service excellence, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting sustainable growth.

Driven by a deep passion for Egypt, I am committed to delivering exceptional and authentic travel experiences—ensuring every guest discovers the country through meaningful moments and leaves with memories that last a lifetime.

Heba A. Amer (Egyptologist)

I was born in 1988 in Damietta, a small beautiful city that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. After finishing high school, I moved Alexandria - one of the most beautiful cities of Egypt. I now live in Cairo, where the glory of Egyptian history and the legacy of its heritage mixes with modern culture in one city. 

My fascination with Egypt's extraordinary history and civilization led me to study Egyptology; in 2009, I graduated from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management. Armed with knowledge and a burning desire to share the wonders of Egypt and its civilization and history, I obtained my license and started my journey as a tour guide in 2011. For me, guiding is not a job - it is my passion.

In 2015, I completed my Master’s degree in Egyptology, focusing on the small temples and chapels of goddess Hathor from the New Kingdom to the Greco-Roman era. In 2021, I received my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.) in Egyptology. My thesis focused on “astronomical representations of Egyptian goddesses in tombs and temples from the new kingdom till the end of Greaco Roman period.

Hussien Abulella (Egyptologist)

Hussien Abulella is a devoted husband and father who was born in Upper Egypt, in a home located across the street from the magnificent Temples of Abydos. From an early age he watched Egyptologists guide their groups and observed the archaeological excavations around the temple, which planted a deep love for this field in his heart.

With over 20 years of experience, Hussien has become one of Egypt’s most distinguished Egyptologist tour guides. Throughout his career, he has worked alongside some of the most prominent names in Egyptology, including Dr. Zahi Hawass, Dr. Mostafa Waziri, and Dr. Mark Lehner, and has guided numerous international figures and celebrities, including a former Australian Prime Minister.

Mohamed Raof (Egyptologist)

Born in Egypt’s Nile Delta, Mohamed Raouf discovered his passion for Egyptology at an early age, inspired by documentaries on Ancient Egypt. Unlike many guides, his journey began as a professional archaeologist, working directly on excavations and heritage projects before stepping into the world of tourism.

He has contributed to significant archaeological work at Saqqara, Dahshur, and Minya, and played roles in national cultural milestones such as the Royal Mummies Parade, the inauguration of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, and the Grand Egyptian Museum. This foundation as an archaeologist gives his tours unmatched depth, blending firsthand excavation experience with engaging storytelling.

Mohammed holds a Master’s degree in Egyptology from, where his research explored nutrition in ancient Egyptian workmen communities. With over a decade of guiding experience, he has welcomed international visitors from all over the world, offering them not only Egypt’s timeless treasures but also unique insights shaped by his academic and field expertise.

Sherif Nasr (Egyptologist)

Sherif Nasr was born in Upper Egypt; from a young age, he saw travellers from around the world arriving to visit the ancient temples and sites that surrounded his small village. This inspired his own passion for Egyptian history, and for sharing Egypt’s story with the world. In 2005, he graduated from Cairo University with a degree in Tourism and Hotels, with a tour guide specialization. He has been a professional tour guide since 2007, and has over a decade of hands-on experience leading groups from around the world.

Sherif wants to transform history into unforgettable, living experiences for every traveller. He is known for his engaging storytelling and in-depth historical knowledge that he loves to share with visitors.

Mohamed Abdellatif (Egyptologist)

Mohamed Abdellatif was born in Giza in Lower Egypt. From a young age he could see the Great Pyramids of Giza from the roof of his family home; at twelve years old, he decided to become an Egyptologist and tour guide, and dedicated himself to that dream.

His passion for Egypt and Egyptian history has made him one of the best Egyptologist tour guides in Egypt; over the 20 years of his career, he has guided hundreds of groups made up of visitors from all over the world. He has worked with many famous names in archeology including Dr. Zahi Hawass, Dr. Bob Brier, Dr. Salima Ekram, Dr. Mostafa Waziri and others.

Tarek (Egyptologist)

My name is Tarek Omran, born and raised in Qurna Village on the West Bank of Luxor—just steps from the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, and the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. Growing up surrounded by these extraordinary monuments shaped my deep connection to ancient Egypt.

I pursued this passion through formal studies in Egyptology and went on to work at renowned sites such as the Karnak Temple Complex and Luxor Temple. Since the early 2000s, I have been guiding travelers from around the world, bringing Egypt’s history to life through authentic and engaging experiences.

Today, as part of Exceptional Egypt Travel, I combine local insight and professional expertise to create refined, memorable journeys—inviting each guest to experience Egypt as a living story, not just a destination
